PROFESSIONAL MACHINE QUILTING SINCE 2000
I fell in love with quilt making in 1983 when I started out making my first quilt top: a 'Storm at Sea'  made with templates.
In 2000 my Gammill Premier arrived, and I started quilting your quilts! Now, over a 1000 of your quilts later, I love it more than ever, and every day consider myself incredibly lucky to have a job that I truly look forward to every single day! I never get tired of your quilt tops, and am always trying to find new and more creative ways to enhance them with my stitching. My quilting inspiration comes from amazing quilters like Lee Cleeland, Helen Squires, Keryn Emmerson, Jodi Robinson, and the extraordinary Mary Nordeng.

Sometimes clients are surprised to find when they leave a quilt with me, that it may be several weeks before they get it back. This is not because it takes this long for me to do their quilt, but usually there are many ahead of them in the queue.
Depending on the style of quilting chosen, a quilt top may take from a few hours to a few days to quilt, and I treat every quilt top as having equal importance, and try to do the very best that I can for every single job. It may be my  thousand and first quilt, but EVERY quilt is important, so  I never cut corners, and always say to myself: "What would I do if this were MY  quilt?" So, please be patient, remember this quilt of yours is going to be unique and special, and likely outlast the maker and the quilter, so a few days here or there makes no difference!

The quilt above was inspired by 3 exquisite machine embroideries of Japanese Kimonos.  The quilt maker found a feature fabric printed with fans in various shades of green and pink highlighted with tiny floral designs.  Using these to make smaller rectangular panels outlined with black frames, she has space them out in asymmetrical fashion, all held together by a muted tone on tone green print.  The resulting effect is superb!  There are more photos in the gallery.
